Scott is originally from Carmichael, California. His background is in engineering. He is a tremendous asset to the current facility design and management, as well as to future building, planning, and development.

Yasmin Emery-Brownlie   Owner/USHJA Certified Trainer


Yasmin is a California native whose involvement with horses spans over 40 years. She attended college and graduate schools on the East Coast while also spending nine years training with Olympic veteran and coach George H. Morris. She has worked at numerous barns and participated in show jumping competitions throughout the US and Canada. She was the owner and trainer at South Lake equestrian and following the sale of that facility, shifted her concentration to horse sales, and spending more time with their daughter Dakota. In 2008 the decision to purchase horse property was made. In 2010 we opened Blue Water Farms as a full service training and sales facility.

Recently, I was able to bridge the time zone divide and talked with Yasmin Emery-Brownlie of Rescue, California, northeast of Sacramento. Yasmin recently opened a new Hunter/Jumper full service training and sales facility at her Blue Water Farms. She is also a USHJA Certified Trainer and..oh yeah...an Emergency Medicine physician. To hear her tell the story, "I work as an Emergency Medicine physician so that I can afford to be with the horses!" So what path led Yasmin to all her accomplishments?
